Definition of izone: "i-zone or interface zone is the area where the built environment meets the natural environment. This area has the greatest risk to assets and property due to the quantity and arrangement of the fuel. This is also the area where intelligent planning and preparation can make the biggest difference to  survivability in the face of approaching bushfire."
